It does not fall on the Creator to ordain when the thing is done.
“Then how will I know when it’s finished?”
When it Speaks for itself.
“What do I do when it Speaks?”
Listen, for it is no longer you who is Speaking.
There are Many Ways to Speak
Language is an important tool when we think and express, yet we often forget the first expression was neither written nor verbal. We saw the tree before we called it a tree, we saw a smile before we called it joy, we saw shining gold before we called it valuable.
There are a million words wishing to be spoken, and far too many can’t be expressed by themselves. Voices call out from the image, our eyes already understand the language.
Where words fail, the image reigns supreme. Sometimes we need to see a smile instead of being told, “Everything’s going to be alright.” Images feel more honest than words, in my opinion at least.
An image forces the viewer to sit down and feel the forces moving through the scene, to smell the air, hear the rattling, and flow with the lines. It doesn’t even have to look that good, to be honest.
All that matters is that your voice made it through okay.
